  • Softball is a co-ed bat and ball team sport, lending itself to a fun and social sporting experience.

  • Softball has a strong brand identity linked to Major League Baseball (MLB) and to common references in American culture, making it familiar whilst also being an exciting new offer to many.

  • Baseball and softball returned to the Olympics in Tokyo 2020, and will also be featured in LA 2028. Participation is at an all-time high, and with the MLB set to come to London again, baseball and softball are on the cusp of becoming socially and culturally significant here in the UK.

  • Launched in May 2016, in response to continued demand from the MK Diamonds Softball Club and surrounding teams for competitive local playing opportunities.

  • Starting as a four team league, the league has since grown to seven teams which equates to over eighty players, and we are confident this will expand even further over the coming years.

  • Players currently come from across six counties: Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and even Warwickshire.

  • We have a large membership and fan base regularly accessing our website and receiving weekly newsletters.

  • The MK Softball League has an active and highly visible presence on social media platforms, with Facebook, Twitter & Instagram posts frequently recording over 1000 views.

  • The league runs all year round: Outdoors on a purpose build diamond during the summer at Conniburrow Sports Pavilion, MK14 7DX, and indoors during the winter at the Radcliffe School, MK12 5BT.

  • The ages of our players range from 16-50, with plans on the horizon to expand to a junior section in 2022 as well.

  • The MK Softball League hosts 'The Codebreakers Cup' every year in September and welcomes over 150 players from across the country to Milton Keynes for our award winning tournament.

  • As well as weekly trips to the pub following fixtures the league has a full social calendar with members and their families getting together for a range of activities, plus a large scale Awards Night at the end of the summer season.

  • We pride ourselves on our friendliness and inclusivity, offering sporting opportunities and the associated health and social benefits to all.

  • Our tournament team, the MK Diamonds, competes in over 10 tournaments during the summer.

  • Tournaments are held around the country (e.g. East Midlands, Slough, Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, and Leicester) and span either 1 or 2 days of the weekend.  Teams and players travel from across England, Scotland and Wales to attend softball tournaments.

  • The MK Diamonds tournament team generally compete in the recreational division of tournaments, where games are competitive but sociable.

  • In 2022 the MK Diamonds have also entered into the third division of the National Softball League (the highest level of competition within the UK for slowpitch softball).

MK Softball League needs sponsorship to supply and install new benches in the dugouts at our league venue in Conniburrow Milton Keynes. We have just acquired use of this unique softball diamond and we are excited to make the most of it by investing in the facilities for ourselves and the community at large.

The Project

To supply and install two 2.4m long benches in each dugout (total of 4), made of hefty garden sleeper wood and concreted into the ground. In return we would be happy to offer the following:

  • Engraved metal plaques on the benches.

  • Inclusion of your company logo in our marketing materials as a facilities sponsor (website, social media, events).

  • An invitation to attend a game and unveil the new additions to our facilities.  We will also promote your generosity in a dedicated website article and social media posts.
