End of season awards round-up
Some highlights from our biggest ever awards night...
Chairperson Leah Holmes paid tribute to Jules Peck who sadly passed earlier this year. You can read his tribute here.
We remembered a record number of sign ups for indoor, fielding six MK teams for the first time, with the Jalapenos winning the title.
Outdoors we smashed our record for members with eight teams taking part.
Special thanks were paid to the 'Base Gang' and the 'Cov Squad' whose communting has helped the league grow in numbers and quality.
A thank you was given to the Charity Cup committee who helped to raise £900 for MK:Act and put on a fantastic tournament.
We bid a farewell to Sam Curtis who was part of the Charity Cup Committee led expertly by Hedley Bevan.
We paid tribute to all the umpires and outdoor league captains for everything they do to keep our league running smoothly.
We marked the launch of our new junior sessions, Dinky Diamonds and thanked all the helpers.
Our NSL team came close to staying in NSL2 this season and will be gunning for promotion in 2024. Special thanks were given to Jod, Jon and Trev for coaching and selecting the team.
We also marked our fantastic outdoor final which was streamed online on BSUK TV for the first time.
A huge thanks was given to our coaching team - co-ordinated by Craig Holmes.
There was special appreciation for coach, umpire and role model - Adam Bee - who is moving to the Cotswolds. Hopefully we'll still see him on the diamond from time to time!
We marked the latest edition of the Codebreakers Cup - and especially the sub-committee, led again by the brilliant Hedley.
We thanked Rachel for her tireless work on social events including MLB London Series meets, the family fun day, the league final, and of course, the awards.
Leah also paid tribute to each and every committee member and there was of course, a huge thank you to Leah for pulling everything together to make MK softball what it is.
