COVID-19 STATEMENT FROM MK SOFTBALL
In the light of the current Coronavirus pandemic, we have regretfully made the decision to suspend all MK Softball sessions with immediate effect.
The decision follows Government guidance released today asking everyone in the UK to avoid all “non-essential contact” with other people. In order to mitigate the financial risk to the league of continued session delivery during this difficult time and, most importantly, to safeguard our community, cancellation of the remaining indoor training sessions and the league final are a necessity.
The government has also given clear messaging that the above should be seen as a long term measure rather than a short term one. With this in mind, we will also be postponing the start of our outdoor season, and are happy to refund in full anyone who has already made payment for this. Further communication will be circulated to players regarding the reopening of the league when appropriate, and our committee will also now look into the tournament calendar and how this will be affected. We will share further information on this once we have confirmation from the various organising bodies.
As a committee we will closely monitor the situation and are happy to respond to any questions from members regarding any of the above. In the meantime, we will focus our attention on ways we can keep our community connected and engaged during this period; so if members have any ideas for how we could do this please do get in touch.
We wish all our softball family well during this challenging time and ask that everyone continues to keep in touch... So we can continue to support each other or just in the light ease our softball withdrawal symptoms!
